Homeless Shelter Honors Six Graduating Residents

Enterprise, AL, May 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Ground Zero Rescue, a tri-county homeless shelter, kicked off a celebration service on Saturday in honor of six shelter residents who successfully completed the 90-day Center of Hope course program. A cookout, sponsored by the Sunset Café located in Samson, Alabama and hosted by Abundant Life Fellowship in Enterprise, Alabama, featured guest speakers, live music, and food for shelter residents and community attendees. Each of these six graduates received official certificates of first level course completion during Abundant Life Fellowship's Sunday morning worship services.

Pastor Mary Shelnutt, founder of Ground Zero Rescue, stated, "I am so proud of our six residents who completed this voluntary 90-day Center of Hope course. They are now one- step closer to entering the path to independent living. I especially want to thank Pastors David and Silvia Watson of Abundant Life Fellowship, our faithful ministry partners, who designed the Center of Hope course program and conduct classes four days per week at their church facility for our homeless residents."

Ground Zero Rescue provides crisis and long-term housing, food and clothing, counseling, education and transition to work programs for the homeless in Coffee, Dale and Geneva counties. The mission's goal is to rescue and restore the homeless to independent lives within the community.
