Gaypedia Launches New Features

Gay and lesbian travel and networking website gives users and members fantastic new tools to help them connect with others and plan their travel trips.

London, United Kingdom, June 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Today gaypedia announces it has launched a wide variety of new features and design improvements to its website. The gaypedia team has focused on those enhancements that will provide the most benefit to members and users and will continue to release more features in the forthcoming weeks. Those improvements already made and released include:

- Easier to add friends/contacts: It is now possible to automatically invite contacts listed in members’ Gmail and Yahoo accounts. In addition, members can manually enter friends’ email addresses to invite them to join as a member on gaypedia
- Improved chat: Members are able to chat with other members in a real-time environment. They can do this through the public or private chat rooms and are able to identify which members are currently online and available to chat
- Clearer profile pages: The member profile pages now incorporate more information about a member’s activity on the site, are easier to navigate to add and search for new content and now clearly shows people who have viewed that member’s profile
- Twitter link: Members are able to link their Twitter accounts to their gaypedia profile, enabling Twitter updates to be posted on their gaypedia walls as they take place
- Home page: A newly designed home page has just been launched, with attractive drop down menus making it easy to discover and add information about destinations, venues and events. A “What’s New” section lets all visitors to gaypedia see the latest happenings on the site – from new venues or members to latest reviews and blogs
