Wine-Tasting at Instituto Hemingway

Learning a new language, especially when abroad, should be an enjoyable experience. Sign up for at least 4 weeks of classes during the month of June, and receive a free excursion to the famous wine region of La Rioja, including a trip to one of the area’s most important wine cellars. Visit the wine cellars of López de Heredia in Haro where they will sample the famous Tondonia, then stop off in Marqués del Riscal, and finish the trip in Laguardia, two enchanting towns which embody the heart of Spanish culture .

During the wine-tasting, learn the art of studying different wines, including being able to differentiate between the various shades and how to describe them. Also, endeavour to ‘teach the nose’ to analyse the different aromas in wine, learning to identify the different grapes used and to tell the difference between young and old wines.
