Bullfighting and Spanish Courses with Instituto Hemingway

Bilbao, Spain, June 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Bullfighting and Spanish Courses in Bilbao.

On 13th June 2009, Spanish students at Instituto Hemingway have the chance to learn more about one of Spain’s most characteristic traditions: bullfighting. The bullring in Bilbao, Vista Alegre, is one of the most important in the bullfighting world. Although Bilbao’s annual festival is celebrated in August, on 20th June there is also a bullfight to commemorate the 709th Anniversary of the founding of the city of Bilbao.

This event will consist of two bullfighters, Cayetano and Manzanares, on foot,and another, “Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza”, on horseback. This provides an excellent opportunity for students to see the two different bullfighting methods: On foot and on horseback.

Horse-lovers will enjoy watching Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza for his interesting technique, fighting against a bull belonging to Fermín Bohórquez, a famous ex-toreador.

Some of us might remember Manzanares from his splendid bull-fighting match in August 2008.

All Spanish students at Instituto Hemingway are invited to come to the event. They will meet at the School at 5pm on 13th June for a 6pm start.
