NAMWOLF Lauds Congressional Black Caucus for Support of Minority Firms
NAMWOLF supports The Congressional Black Caucus’s message to remember minority law firms during the rescue of the Financial System.
Milwaukee, WI, June 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Recently the Congressional Black Caucus gathered to share one firm message – during the current financial system bailout, do not forget minority firms. In an article printed by CBC Rep. Yvette D. Clarke (D-N.Y) was quoted, “The inclusion of women-and minority-owned business has been a second thought for too long. This is the 21st century.”
The National Association of Minority and Women-Owned law firms (“NAMWOLF”) applauds The Congressional Black Caucus’s message regarding the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). Tarp is currently the largest component of the administration’s attempts to address the subprime mortgage crisis.
Among the supporters for the inclusion of minority and women owned businesses are Rep. Gregory W. Meeks (D-N.Y.) and co-chairman of the CBC economic security task force and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.).
Yolanda Coly, Managing Director of NAMWOLF echoes the necessity of inclusion of minorities and women. NAMWOLF is a nonprofit trade association comprised of minority and women-owned law firms and other interested parties throughout the United States. NAMWOLF promotes diversity in the legal professional by fostering the development of long lasting relationships between established minority and women-owned law firms and corporate and public entities.
