The Society of Education Consultants Calls for Input from Education Consultants Into New 'Exploratorium' Service Under Development
The Society of Education Consultants is developing a new service designed to provide a distilled source of critical information to SEC members. The SEC welcomes contributions to the development stage from practicing education consultants.
Whitstable, United Kingdom, June 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Society of Education Consultants announces the development of a new service for members called an 'Exploratorium', designed to provide a centralised source of information regarding the benefits provided by SEC membership. These benefits include information on upcoming exhibitions and trade shows, calls for specialised education consultancy and information regarding government bids and tenders including requirements and deadlines. To ensure the new Exploratorium contains everything an education consultant could need, the SEC committee is inviting input from education consultants who are members of the SEC, with no minimal membership history required. One of the primary functions of the SEC is to match people seeking education consultancy services with the best education consultant for the job. Members are able to showcase their services in the education consultant register, and also receive information on Government bids and tenders. "The aim of the Exploratorium is to take that one step further," explained Adam Caller, member of the SEC committee. "Some Government projects require teams of education consultants, so one function of the Exploratorium would be to provide the information required to form such a team from within the SEC membership. That means the independent education consultants who would normally be unable to bid for that work as individuals would then be able to do so by becoming part of a team with other members. That's only one function of the Exploratorium, so if there are any education consultants who are as excited by its potential as we are, we'd love to hear from them."
"The Exploratorium design is currently based upon ideas from the committee and feedback from members who have used our services already," Adam commented. "However, we feel that it's important to get a definitive 'wish-list' from as wide a range of education consultants as possible, to ensure that it really is as useful and comprehensive as we intend it to be. The only stipulation is that the education consultant is an SEC member, but with no membership history required, meaning the consultant could join the SEC and contribute to the Exploratorium project immediately. They would gain the benefits of SEC membership straight away, whilst contributing to a service that will give them even greater benefits in the future."
