Rhode Island Picture Framer Wins Two Competition Ribbons
Two ribbons were awarded to Andrew Langlois of Get The Picture Framing in Lincoln, RI. Andrew qualified in the New England PPFA (Professional Picture Framer's Association) annual competition for his entry. The judging and ribbons were awarded at a ceremony on June 1, 2009 in Sturbridge, MA Andrew was awarded ribbons for Second Place, and Best Use of Fabrics.
Lincoln, RI, June 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Andrew Langlois, a certified picture framer and co-owner of Get The Picture Framing in Lincoln, RI, was awarded Popular Choice and Third Place in the New England Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) competition.
This is the 7th year in a row Langlois has placed in the annual competition, which selects the judges the top entries from New England picture framers. Winners of this regional competition are forwarded to the national Professional Picture Framers Association. The piece will be judged at the national level, in February 2010.
Andy's winning entry was in the NEPPFA's open competition. The criteria for a winning entry includes strong visual impact, appropriate use of creative and design elements, techniques and materials used, and proper finishing.
Langlois received the professional designation of Certified Picture Framer from the Professional Picture Framers Association, the national trade association for professional, custom picture framers, art galleries, and framing and art manufacturers and distributors.
