Marcy Cowan Invests in an ActionCOACH Business Coaching Firm in Atlanta
With a strong desire to serve others, Marcy Cowan knows the ActionCOACH business model will help her meet this goal.
Las Vegas, NV, June 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Marcy Cowan will fulfill her aspirations of business ownership by building an ActionCOACH firm in Atlanta, Georgia.
She will be joined by Angela Whalley – her colleague from her previous employment at BioLab, Inc., the leading U.S. manufacturer of pool and spa chemicals. While at BioLab, Angela served as Vice President, Marketing and Marcy served as General Counsel.
Founded by Brad Sugars in 1993, ActionCOACH is at the apex of the business coaching industry.
Cowan’s initial impression of the ActionCOACH franchise was extremely positive. Upon her extensive research into the franchise system, she found it to be a great fit –and along with her team, plans to build a specialty in women-owned small businesses.
“It became clear during my due diligence that ActionCOACH's systems and processes are very robust, and that I would receive superior support from Georgia Master Licensees Pat and Jackie Coan,” she said. “I also knew I would have fun while making a difference in the lives of small business owners.”
Cowan spent 30 years in the corporate world as a senior in-house lawyer in major corporations including Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Home Depot. She supported her business partners in such areas as business development, sales, marketing, global supply chain, regulatory compliance, lobbying and public relations.
Cowan enjoyed having a diverse career –flanked by many major achievements, including obtaining certification for a start-up U.S. national air carrier and creating a major U.S. retailer's legal product safety program.
Cowan’s career in the corporate world helped her gain mastery of many different areas, which will be directly transferable to her ActionCOACH clientele.
She will tap into her huge existing network within the Atlanta area as soon as she completes training.
“I am excited about helping that network and their contacts become even more successful,” she said. “I have a strong desire to serve others and the ActionCOACH business model will help me meet this goal.”
As an active parent, she participates with the Atlanta International School as a room parent and ambassador. Along with her daughters, she also belongs to the National Charity League –a mother-daughter philanthropic organization, which serves 15 charities in the Atlanta area. A patron of the Atlanta cultural community, Cowan is also the liaison to the Center for Puppetry Arts –a unique Atlanta arts venue, which offers special puppetry programming for children, teens and adults.
Cowan belongs to a variety of local Chambers of Commerce and women entrepreneur groups in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
ActionCOACH is the world’s number one business coaching and executive coaching firm, with more than 1,000 offices in 26 countries. To learn more, go to actioncoach.com.
