North Carolina Theatre Releases High School Musical 2 Podcast

Raleigh, NC, June 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Kristin Buie, communications manager of the North Carolina Theatre (www.nctheatre.com), has announced the release of a podcast presenting information about High School Musical 2, a musical production which will be running Saturday, June 13 – Sunday, June 21 at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, located at 2 E. South St. High School Musical 2, the sequel to Disney’s popular High School Musical, reunites audiences with East High Wildcats Troy, Gabriella and friends as they land summer jobs at a country club, where drama heats up after Troy agrees to sing with notorious mean girl Sharpay in the club’s annual talent show. This musical is fun, family-friendly and appropriate for children of all ages. In the podcast, Buie provides background information about the musical, information about the cast, showtimes and ticket information.

Fifty of the best local talent and New York actors will join the production. Chase Peacock, who stars as Troy Bolton, played the role of Chase in Disney’s High School Musical 2. Renée Albulario, who stars as Gabriella, previously performed in regional productions of Hairspray, The King And I, Ragtime and The Sound of Music. And Gretchen Bieber, who stars as Sharpay, played in the Broadway and First National Tour of Hairspray and was a semi-finalist in the television show Grease: You’re The One That I Want and on All My Children.
