How do You Launch a Successful Business – In This Economy – by Giving Things Away?

Female entrepreneur Amy Ahlers founded Wake-Up Call Coaching in January 2009 and business is booming.

San Francisco, CA, June 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- “When I asked myself, ‘What is the world hungry for right now?’ I immediately thought: Inspiration and Feminine Energy.” So Master Success Coach Amy Ahlers launched Wake-Up Call Coaching early this year with a vision: to bring the nation’s best-respected women experts to a world wide audience – for free.

“I knew I wanted to give it away,” says Ahlers. “From the beginning, Wake-Up Call Coaching has been about sharing the very best of ourselves. The women experts – including such luminaries as Mariel Hemingway, Lisa Nichols, Marci Shimoff, Rhonda Britten, Marcia Wieder and SARK – have all been so pleased to have a platform where the emphasis is on women inspiring others to lead better, happier, healthier lives—regardless of the state of the economy.”

With her two offerings, The Women Masters Tele-Seminar Series and The Wake-Up Call Coaching Program or “Inspiration-in-a- Box”, growing in popularity every day, Ahlers reveals her secret.

“When your work helps you share the truth about what you believe in and who you are, there’s no way you can lose,” she says. “My programs not only share my own truth, they help women everywhere discover their own truth. And this leads not only to profitability, but to a better world.”

Profitability? By giving things away? Yes.

“The tele-seminar series is free, but if people want to upgrade and purchase the MP3s or get transcripts or CDs, then there is a fee. Most of our women experts on the program offer amazing giveaways and then they, too, have offerings that cost money. And finally, the first month of The Wake-Up Call Coaching Program is free (participants pay only a small shipping and handling fee), and if people want to continue past the first 30 days, there is a fee. So while I’m giving a lot away, and there’s a lot of room for people to sample, there’s also a lot of opportunity for people to purchase products and services.”

And even some of the profits get given away. “We’re donating 10% of our profits to two women’s charities: Women for Women, International and Girls, Inc. This is not only in line with my belief system and values, I think it improves the quality of the transaction for my clients; they like knowing that their purchase goes, in part, to helping women around the world,” says Ahlers.

She adds, “Inspiration and giving things away – it’s not the kind of strategy that gets taught in business schools, but maybe it should be. After all, it works!”
