Original plans to create 600 new jobs at the Terre Haute site were announced in May 2008, which was met a quarter sooner than expected. Alorica exceeded the original job projection and currently employs more than 750 employees at the Terre Haute site.
“Our one-year anniversary is more than a marker of our success in the state of Indiana, it’s a celebration of our relationship with the people in Wabash Valley,” said Travis Vickers, Site Director for Alorica’s Terre Haute contact center. “The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has been a great partner in helping facilitate our growth here, and we look forward to a long future in Terre Haute.”
The Terre Haute contact center began taking calls in June 2008 to support customers of Fortune 500 companies. Last month, Alorica announced plans to open a second site in Indiana, in the city of Lafayette, creating an additional 600 jobs in the state.
