Announcing SoBe Arts Summer Program 2009

Miami Beach, FL, June 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- SoBe Institute of the Arts / SoBe Music Institute announces its SoBe Arts Summer Program 2009 (arts education program and workshops) for children, teens and adults (June 15/22 - July 31). SoBe Arts is located in the historic Carl Fisher Clubhouse and Little Stage Theater Complex on Miami Beach.

This summer they are pleased to expand from their celebrated music program and offer high-level programs and workshops in Film, Theater, Dance and Musical Theater. Just as our unique music immersion curriculum is taught by a faculty of great professional musician/instructors, our new programs and workshops will offer instructors with experience in world-class performing arts organizations including Twyla Tharp Dance, Manhattan School of Music and the Public Theater / New York Shakespeare Festival (NYC), all supervised by Executive Artistic Director, Carson Kievman, Ph.D.:

SoBe Arts Summer Programs For Teens, Kids & Tots

SoBe Arts Film Program for Teens (ages 13-17). Program Manager: Alyn Darnay, from Chaos Films. This exciting new program will culminate in the making of an original film by the participants.

SoBe Arts Dance Program for Youth (ages 6-12) & Teens (ages 13-17). Program manager: Lara Tinari, formerly with Twyla Tharp Dance. Students will work with professional dancers and choreographers and have fun learning the techniques of modern and traditional dance.

SoBe Arts Broadway Musical Theater Workshop for Teens (ages 13-17). Program Manager: Rebekah Diaz, formerly with Manhattan School of Music (NYC). This workshop is the students first step to becoming a triple threat performer: Actor - Singer - Dancer.

SoBe Arts Theater Program for Youth (ages 6-12) & Teens (ages 13-17). Artistic Director: Carson Kievman, former stage director / composer-in-residence Joseph Papp's Public Theater / New York Shakespeare Festival. Students work with theater professionals and will received intensive training in acting as well as learn something about creating sets and costumes, designing and working lights and sound

SoBe Arts Music Program for Tots (ages 3-5), Youth (ages 6-12) & Teens (ages 13-17). Artistic Director: Carson Kievman, former composer/stage director-in-residence with the Tanglewood Music Festival. SoBe Arts Music Programs are designed to provide children and teens with extraordinary immersion in music without intimidation.
