See the All-New 2010 Prius at Carson Toyota: Third Generation Toyota Raises the Bar for Hybrid Vehicles–Again
Carson, CA, June 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Carson Toyota is inviting all Southern California residents to stop by and check out the 2010 Toyota Prius.
“Considered the benchmark for hybrid cars for more than 10 years, the 2010 Prius offers even better mileage, enhanced performance and more refined design features than ever before,” said Carson Toyota General Manager Marty Brylski. “It's environmental, innovative and practical and perfect for buyers who are looking for outstanding fuel economy, worry-free driving and uncompromised driving.”
Starting at an MSRP of $22,000, the 2010 Prius features a larger more powerful 1.8-liter Atkinson-cycle, four-cylinder engine that together with its electronic motor, generates a combined net horsepower of 134. Using a combination of technologies, fuel efficiency has been increased to a combined EPA estimated rating of 50 miles per gallon. The all-new Prius engine is also the first Toyota power plant that requires no belts under the hood or better fuel economy and less potential maintenance.
Inside, enjoy an available JBL® AM/FM 6-disc, in-dash CD changer with MP3/WMA playback and XM satellite radio on nine speakers in seven locations. Bluetooth wireless technology also allows for hands-free phone capability. Rear passengers in the 2010 Pruis will also enjoy enhanced head- and legroom.
The Prius boasts several safety features including a backup monitor, voice-activated navigation system and the new Touch Tracer Display which was designed to reduce driver eye movement by displaying steering wheel controls on the instrument panel. Also available is Safety Connect, Toyota's first safety and security service that includes automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle locator and an SOS call button.
New for the the 2010 Prius is an available sliding glass moonroof packaged with solar panels that power a new ventilation system. This solar-powered ventilation system uses an electrically-powered air circulation fan that does not require engine assist. The new Prius also offers a remote air-conditioning system, the first system in the world to function on battery-power alone. It allows the driver to adjust the interior temperature before getting in the car.
Carson Toyota has been serving Southern California residents since 1974.
