The Women’s Small Business Association is proud to announce Women’s Small Business Week, from July 13 through July 18, 2009. This five-day event will offer participants the opportunity to attend seminars led by industry experts, showcase their businesses by participating in exhibit booths, network with other professionals, and interview with business owners offering new opportunities. Seminars and exhibit booths will focus on topics important to today’s business women and will provide information for personal and professional growth.

The event includes the following: Marketing A Small Business, how to market a small business on a minimal budget; Health & Wellness for Better Business, how to protect a business owner’s most important asset, their health; Financial Strategies During a Recession, financial strategies that will keep the recession from having an impact on one’s business; Career and Business Opportunities, information on what businesswomen will need to make an informed decision on a career change or income supplement; The Executive's Event, a chance for business leaders to network, followed by a musical to the sounds of the 70’s and open to businessmen.

The Women’s Small Business Week will be a time to celebrate the many achievements of women entrepreneurs and employees who contribute to the local and regional economy. The cost to attend each event varies, from $25 to $35. The price to exhibit is $50 to $60 per event.

The Women’s Small Business Association was founded in 2007 by Susan Miller, owner of Pittsburgh Candle Company and Miller Promotions. The goal of the WSBA is to have business women help each other, and for businesswomen to have the opportunity to network without the hefty membership fees usually associated with other organizations.
