Judge Mablean Ephriam moderates top business power couples on being married and running a day to day business too!

Los Angeles, CA, June 10, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Judge Mablean Ephriam will be moderating a panel discussion entitled “The Business of Being in Business and Being in Love” which focuses on married couples who are also business partners, at the Wells Fargo sponsored African American Business Summit 2005. Themed BUSINES REDEFINED: An Extraordinary Experience for Exceptional Business People, this four-day event is scheduled June 23rd - 26th at the Westin Mission Hills Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage (Palm Springs), California.  The evet is hosted by Turning Point Magazine, The TPC Foundation, Inc., and The African American Chamber of Commerce Palm Springs.

Featured panelists include power business couples: Valder and James Beebe of PIP Productions, Al Reynolds, husband and manager of Star Jones, Corey and Dia Redmond of Redmond Enterprises.

Judge Mablean Ephriam was admitted to the California Bar in 1978 and was admitted to the United States Supreme Court in 1992. She been awarded numerous times in her career including the 1997 Alumni of the Year from Whittier College School of Law; the 1996 Spencer Brandeis Award from the Family Law Section-Los Angeles Bar Association (she was the youngest recipient and first Black woman) and the 1993 Distinguished Service-Women’s Lawyer Association of Los Angeles (WLALA).

Her efforts are assiduous. She has served as the Past (1982-1983) President of Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, is active in volunteerism and also has time to be: Co-Founder of the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law which provides pro bono legal services, serves on the Board of the Union Rescue Mission and the Southern California Economic Development Corporation Churches of God in Christ of Southern California. As an entrepreneur, she is the owner of Mablean’s Limousine Services; co-owner of Jubilane Guest House, a Bed & Breakfast in Johannesburg, South Africa; co-owner of E & E House of Care, an assisted living facility for the elderly in South Central Los Angeles and founder of an awards program, Honoring Unsung Fathers (H.U.F.), which is one component of the Mablean Ephriam Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) of which she is the Founder, President and CEO.

In October of 1998, Twentieth Television selected Ephriam to sit as Judge on the newly, revised half hour syndicated show “Divorce Court” and she has recently appeared in the celebrity reality television show on VH1 “Celebrity FIT Club”.
