Toronto, Canada, August 17, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Imagine “the Horse Whisperer meets Dr. Phil” in a first of its kind event soon coming to the GTA. From September 15-17 Waterstone Estate & Farms in King Township will be hosting an international symposium that brings together the key pioneering leaders in the innovative and cutting edge field of Equine Assisted Personal Development.

Far more then a “Dr. Doolittle” fantasy where dreamers imagine that they can communicate with horses, the “horse sense for human potential movement” is a world wide phenomenon that is growing by leaps and bounds. Not only so called “horse whisperers” are claiming that there is an experiential opportunity to improve the human condition by integrating horse sense into our lives. Now psychiatrists, psychologists, educators and corporate leaders are finding that there are very real life skills and emotional intelligence lessons that can be learned when people study the language and psychology of horses and then apply “herd dynamics” to themselves and their relationships.

Major media sources throughout the United States have been reporting on this evolution within the horse whispering revolution as the lessons learned from horses are applied in a myriad of personal growth directions from equine assisted psychology to parenting skills, teaching, coaching, and management and leadership styles.

The symposium is being produced and hosted by Deborah Weiss, founder and owner of Waterstone Estate & Farms, and is being heralded as “the essential EAPD experience.” This is the first time that the leading pioneers of this cutting edge field have been brought together to not only present their own individual process of working with people and horses with a focus on personal growth but also for the leaders to work together with the audience and participants in a “think tank” format to develop a consensus and unified vision for the future growth of this dynamic and fascinating industry.

Key presents at the symposium are Chris Irwin, Canada’s own internationally renowned horseman and best selling author of Horses Don’t Lie and Dancing With Your Dark Horse, Linda Kohanov from Arizona, the best selling author of the Tao of Equus and Riding Between the Worlds, and Ariana Strozzi, the founder of Equine Guided Education and the author of Horse Sense for the Leader Within. There will also be numerous other equine holistic arts presenters and a trade show during the symposium.
