The Plaza Group to Market Blue Island Phenol LLC Products

Houston, TX, June 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Plaza Group announced today it has signed a multi-year contract with Blue Island Phenol LLC to market its merchant phenol, acetone, AMS, acetophenone and cumene products produced at the company’s Blue Island, IL facility. The contract becomes effective July 1, 2009.

Randy Velarde, The Plaza Group president, said the agreement will greatly expand the company’s presence in these key markets. “Through this strategic arrangement, The Plaza Group will increase its overall marketing capacity to more than 100 million pounds of acetone per year. Velarde also confirmed that all orders and customer service for Blue Island Phenol products will be handled in The Plaza Group’s Houston office.
