Frederick + Frederick Architects Win Southern Living Magazine Award

Charleston, SC, June 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Frederick + Frederick Architects recently won the ‘Best Before and After’ in the 2009 Southern Home Awards through Southern Living Magazine. With offices in Charleston and Beaufort South Carolina, Frederick + Frederick Architects have successfully completed award winning projects all over the state, and Jane Frederick was recently elected president of the South Carolina Chapter of American Institute of Architects.

Southern Living states that their 2009 Southern Home Award Winners ‘represent the very best in innovative, new and renovated residential design guaranteed to inspire any home remodeling or building project.’ The Fredericks’ Southern Living ‘Before and After’ Award was based upon their own home—a remodeled Quonset hut in Beaufort, South Carolina. A Quonset hut is an original 25 x 48-foot structure erected by a local WWII veteran. The Fredericks bought the property in 1992 and have since incorporated it into a larger home and remodeled twice.
