Seven School Vandals Detained Due to Sonitrol Pacific Detection
Granite Falls, WA, June 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sonitrol Pacific’s silent alarm betrayed an act of vandalism in progress at a Washington middle school and deputies detained seven juveniles June 13.
Operator Minta Christopherson received the security system activation from the school and called sheriff’s deputies.
Upon seeing a deputy arrive, the suspected vandals scattered in all different directions. The officer caught one juvenile attempting to flee.
The other six suspects ran home and confessed to their parents. They were promptly returned to the scene of the incident and detained along with the one already in custody.
The vandals covered the school in toilet paper and paint, and wrapped various structures in Saran wrap. The district chose not to file charges, but the kids and their parents cleaned up the mess and paid for the call out of school personnel.
