SBHRA Utilizing WageWatch to Conduct Compensation Survey in Santa Barbara

Scottsdale, AZ, June 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- WageWatch, Inc., (www.WageWatch.com) the leading online compensation and benefits survey company, announced today that it is partnering with the Santa Barbara Human Resource Association to conduct a multi-industry compensation survey. The online survey will enable all SBHRA members and the business community to access comprehensive and local wage, salary, and incentive/bonus data in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.

Class action lawsuits around the country have focused attention on the issue of anti-trust wage fixing. The days of “call arounds” to find out what other employers are paying are coming to a quick end as companies see that practice as an increased liability. Sharing salary information can lead to collusion and price-fixing allegations, which prevent healthy competition among businesses. To resolve this concern, WageWatch has implemented its user-friendly, web-based survey – giving participants immediate access to current wage information on 170 positions across multiple industries, while complying by all Department of Justice guidelines for sharing sensitive hourly and salaried data.

Data collection has begun, and survey results will be available online in early fall. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to participate. Survey users may choose custom reports based on employee size, location, and industry type to ensure proper match in their labor market. Participants gain access to positions and departments such as accounting and finance, administration, customer support, development, engineering, food and beverage, government, human resources, information technology, kitchen, operations, patient care, production, program management, quality, retail, safety, transportation, and warehousing.

“Based on the need for a third-party survey provider for accurate wage data, coupled with recent economic realities, we feel this is the right time to provide our unique online survey to all local businesses in the area.” said Margaret Dyekman, President and COO of WageWatch.

“SBHRA is thrilled to open survey participation this summer to all types of businesses because our human resources professional association receives calls regularly for this information. We are pleased to share this member benefit with the community” added Kristina Kiefer, Human Resources Consultant of Cottage Health System and SBHRA Survey Committee Chair. Employers can go to www.wagewatch.com or www.SBHRA.org to learn more about the compensation survey and how to participate.
