Kansas City, MO, June 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Kansas City chapter of No Kidding! (KCNK), a social group for childfree adults, has launched a Web site at www.kcnokidding.com. The Web site is a destination for people who have chosen to remain childfree to socialize and share information.
The premise of the No Kidding! organization is that parents often have a built-in social network through childrens’ schools and other activities. However, adults without children do not have this built-in social network. The goal of No Kidding! is to help connect childfree singles and couples who are seeking non-child-related social opportunities.
Through the new Web site, the group organizes outings such as wine tastings, dinners, bowling, baseball games, charity events, bike rides, and a monthly happy hour. They also share photos and videos, discuss topics such as childfree articles, and review restaurants, movie, and books.
Natalie Skadra developed the new Web site using the social networking platform Ning. Skadra had moved to Kansas City from North Carolina. “We've been in the KC area for just over two years and KCNK has been a huge factor in building our network of friends,” she posted on the site. “We wouldn't be enjoying our life in Kansas City as much as we are without having met our friends here.”
Member Missy Andeel agrees, and sees the site as a way to let others know about KCNK. “We built the site with the purpose of building community, increasing social activity, and spreading the word about the organization to other childfree people in the area.”
Though they don’t have kids in common, the group has found many of the childfree do share similar interests such as travel, pets, wine, philanthropy, and fitness.
To learn more, join the group, or discover what events KC No Kidding! has planned next, KC-area adults are encouraged to visit the Web site at www.kcnokidding.com.
About Kansas City No Kidding!

Not associated with any political or religious cause, the group exists solely for social reasons. Membership is free, and simply involves signing up on the web site at www.kcnokidding.com. Members organize events on their own and pay their own way.
