New York, NY, June 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Mark Vinsun, Painter; Ricardo Francis, Painter; Terrence Benjamin, Photographer; and Cristian Tonhaiser, Media Art; of NAS Gallery, Buenos Aires, Argentina will be exhibiting there art of men during the New York City Gay Pride 2009 Festivities at LeonidesArts Gallery, 455 West 45th Street New York, New York 10036 from June 18th to July 18th. Artists Opening Night is June 18th from 7PM to 11PM with entertainment by Meatpacking District musical luminary DJ YU and refreshments provided by Moet and Chandon Champagne. "Raw Vision Of The Men We Know And Have Known" is an exhibition that displays the essential spirit of each artists encounter with the men that are shown in the show. The subjects are real and living in New York and Argentina each work of art tells a individual narrative story of the events shared by artist and subject that created the piece in "realtime". Through the visual arts the artworks recognize, illuminate and celebrate not only our gay culture but the male culture at large. In the works of art these Four artists take on a breathtaking task of showing the strength and flaws of men living and coping in the age of HIV/AIDS and the financial crisis: remembering a moment whether in pleasure, sorrow, confusion or bliss perverted or heavenly because of the afterglow of sex. A comic moment that makes the subjects a hero with added erotic sexual prowess, discovering one's personal sexual identity, recording connections to other men through these art pieces therfore escaping from reality through art, and understanding masculinity in our current society. Its not easy being a man.
