Pleasure Island Concludes Full June Line-Up with Second USSSA Event
The USSSA Kids Pitch State Tournament will be held June 26th through 28th.
Gulf Shores, AL, June 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Immediately on the heels of a successful USSSA baseball event in mid-June, the Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission continues the momentum with another prestigious baseball event at the end of the month. The USSSA Kids Pitch State Tournament will be held June 26th through 28th.
Approximately 60 youth baseball teams are set to compete in the single elimination contest. These baseball stars of tomorrow (ages 8 through 14) are anxious to advance to the World Series Tournament. Held at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex and the Orange Beach Sportsplex, competition kicks off each of the three days at 9:00 a.m. and spans the day until the final game starts at 6:00 p.m.
Adult admission (over 12 years old) is $8.00 per day or $15.00 for a tournament pass. Children’s admission (ages 6-12) is $3.00 per day or $5.00 for a tournament pass. All children under 6 years old and under will be admitted free of charge.
The Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission will welcome these upcoming events: GSHS Volleyball Competition Camp (July 8-9), USSSA Global Baseball World Series for 8, 10, 12 and 14-year olds (July 8-12) and the USSSA Global Baseball World Series for 7, 9, 11 and 13-year olds (July 15-19).
