District Attorney Jerry Jones to Receive Prestigious Difference Maker Award™
District Attorney Jerry Jones of Monroe, Louisiana to get Difference Maker Award for his work with young people

(YUP) is National 501 ( C ) ( 3 ) non profit organization (a benefactor of the NFL Alumni ATL Chapter) and the Grambling Legends Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that this year’s recipient of the LEGENDS & KIDS™ DIFFERENCE MAKER AWARD™ will go to Mr. Jerry Jones District Attorney for the 4th Judicial District of Monroe LA. District Attorney Jones is being recognized for his unique commitment and dedication to young people. Past winners of the award have been Hal Schatz, Chairman of the ICAN Benefits Group, a national insurance company, Ted Blum, Co-Managing Shareholder Greenberg Traurig, and Ernest Lamont Greer Co-Managing Shareholder Greenberg Traurig (which is the 7th largest law firm in the United States).

This year, Youth United for Prosperity is presenting The Grambling Legends Sports Hall of Fame inaugural induction ceremony which will be held at the Monroe Civic Center in Monroe Louisiana on July 18th, 2009. The Grambling Legends Sports Hall of Fame spearheaded by James “Shack” Harris (former NFL Pro Bowl MVP) and Doug Williams (former Super Bowl MVP) is committed to ensuring that the greatest sports legends to ever come out of Grambling University, and their accomplishments are cemented into historical posterity. To that end, the Grambling Legends Sports Hall of Fame was established. Dave Bing, Major of Detroit Michigan and NBA Hall of Famer will be the Master of Ceremonies for the induction ceremony. There will be a press conference for the event on Thursday July 17th at 3pm at the Monroe Civic Center.
25 of the greatest sports legends from Grambling will be inducted at the inaugural ceremonies.
