Non-Profit Organization, Herocare Supports MDA's Fire-Fighter Chili Cook-Off

San Diego, CA, June 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- In support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's (MDA) annual TailGate Party Fundraiser and Fire-Fighter Chili Cook-off, Herocare and Ben & Jerry's donated ice-cream to help raise funds for MDA. Hundreds of supporters gather annually for this special event held at San Diego's Embarcadero Marina Park.

"Herocare is pleased to support the local fire fighters and MDA heroes of our community," says Carl Spiteri, Herocare's San Diego Program Director. "This is the second year we've been honored to help in this important effort. Supporting MDA and fire fighters is jut another way Herocare recognizes and helps our local heroes for their contribution to our community."

The special event was held Saturday, June 20th from 2-6pm and concluded with a Padres game against the Oakland A's.
