The Nextar 43LT GPS navigation system has online map updates and additional maps available for purchase at nextar.com/extras. The device also comes with a free lifetime subscription for live traffic reports provided by NAVTEQ that are audible through the vehicle’s radio system. The reports are provided at no additional charge and are available right out of the box. No activation is required as the special feature works the moment the system is turned on. The Nextar 43LT, running on the Nav N Go’s software has a generous 4.3” TFT touch-screen display that provides large, clear, colorful images of maps from all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Text-to-speech technology distinctly pronounces road names and offers voice-guided directions, with turn-by-turn voice prompts. Prompts are clearly audible through a built-in speaker. A built-in antenna ensures signal reception.

It includes 1.6-million points of interest, including hotels, shopping centers, gas stations, and restaurants. For added versatility, it has the ability to play MP3 files as well as display JPEG images. Digital map data is supplied by NAVTEQ, the preeminent provider of comprehensive digital map information for automotive navigation systems.

Power is supplied by a lightweight, built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Accessories include: an external RDS receiver, car power adapter, suction cup, and a stylus/touch pen. The system measures 4.6” x 3.2” x 0.8” in size and weigh 6.4 oz. The 43LT is currently available nationwide.
