Introducing the HSI Blended Learning Solution: Cost-Effective. Convenient. Consistent. Easy to Use

Blended Learning combines the convenience of online learning with a shortened hands-on skills session.

Eugene, OR, June 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Today, Health & Safety Institute (HSI) is pleased to announce the launch of the HSI Blended Learning Solution, which is uniquely different from other online learning programs being offered in the CPR/AED and First Aid training industry.

With Blended Learning, students can study the knowledge portion of the training on a flexible schedule, outside of the traditional classroom setting. Information presented online is the same material for all students ensuring that they are adequately prepared to meet skill objectives. Students also have access to the online learning materials for the duration of their certification period.

“Everyone who has taken the course has been very impressed. Some liked the graphics, one said he liked the option to turn the sound off and just read the material, which worked best for his learning style. Everyone liked the ability to start and stop so that they could maintain their work load” stated Jerry Young, Training Center director for the Washington Department of Corrections. She continued “I would say that finally we have something to offer to staff that adjusts to their work schedule and still meets the agencies training mandates and allows supervisors the opportunity to creatively manage the training mandates for their staff.”

Through an HSI family of brands Training Center, students arrange for the skill instruction portion of their training, which is specifically designed to make training more accessible and efficient. This self-directed, active experience appeals to the adult student. The HSI Blended Learning Solutions differentiates by allowing the Training Center to manage the blended course from start to finish; creating a seamless learning experience for the end user. It provides the Training Centers an additional flexible option to satisfy the training needs of their students and is built on a platform that is easy to manage and also easy for the students to use.

"Very easy to navigate, it was very simple to set up the company and manage class information” indicates Kira Miller with CPR Training Solutions.

“We have created a program that allows companies and individuals to save money and to manage employee’s time associated with training,” said Craig Aman, HSI Vice President of Sales. “Our solution combines the best of “hands on” skill instruction with online learning. By embracing the instructor, the HSI Blended Learning solution allows training centers to manage the entire training process that results in student’s having the confidence to respond to emergency situations.”
