Fuentek Named an Official "Partner Organization" of the Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Awards
Raleigh, NC, June 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Laura A. Schoppe, president of Fuentek, LLC (www.fuentek.com) has announced that the firm is an official “Partner Organization” of the Conrad Foundation’s Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Awards. This award challenges teams of high school students to create new concepts in specific science and technology categories. As a partner organization, Fuentek will provide technology transfer reviewers for finalists in the Conrad Awards program and assist in determining the award winners. Fuentek also will provide guidance on the long-term goals and vision for the award, assist in developing full judging criteria for the Conrad Awards, and support grant writing efforts and reviews to secure funding for the Conrad Awards program.
The Conrad Foundation is a nonprofit organization built upon astronaut Charles “Pete” Conrad’s history of innovation and entrepreneurship. This competition challenges students to create new concepts in specific fields of interest that could be taken to the commercial marketplace. By challenging students to create and employ innovative concepts, the Conrad Foundation hopes to encourage students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
