Feature Film Five Days in the A Opens July 23

Atlanta, GA, June 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Atlanta Dream Team, 2-G inc and Starmaxx Media are pleased to announce July 23, 2009 as the premier date of their new feature film “Five Days in the A.” The celebration will begin at 9:00 pm at the Movies Atl movie theater just off of Camp Creek Parkway and the movie will begin just before midnight.

The movie stars Dennis Goodman of BET’s College Hill , Brittany “Diamond” Carpentero or the national recording group “Crime Mob” and platinum selling Rap Artist Bonecrusher. Goodman portrays the part of Jamal a high school football star destined to a scholarship to college which his ticket out of the Bluff, Atlanta worst Ghetto.

Writer Director Henderson Maddox most know as Mr. 23 has directed more than 50 music videos one prior feature film. This is his first film as a writer/director. He has collaborated with Carl Millender the creator of the national TV series Atlanta Homicide and producer Greg Galloway (The Black Witch Project) to create this touching drama about Maddox’s old Atlanta neighborhood.

The film was shot on location in the Bluff the neighborhood just west of the Atlanta falcons Football stadium . “It took just over 38 days to shoot and had a modest budget,” says Director of Photography Carl Millender. We had a strong team of dedicated people. Henderson wrote this script while he was in film school and has always wanted this to be his first film.

The soundtrack features songs from Atlanta’s top national artist; Lil Scrappy, BoneCrusher, Nick Fury and many others.
