Canadian Actor Alex Ferris Set to Appear in New Line Cinema's the Time Travelers Wife

Two-time Young Artists Award nominee Alex Ferris set to appear as “Young Henry” in the highly-anticipated New Line Cinema film THE TIME TRAVELERS WIFE alongside Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams due out August 14, 2009.

Los Angeles, CA, June 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Canadian actor and two-time Young Artists Award nominee Alex Ferris is set to appear as “Young Henry” in the highly-anticipated, New Line Cinema film The Time Travelers Wife. The film is set to be released August 14, 2009. Ferris will be appearing alongside Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams in the film which is a romantic drama about a Chicago librarian named Henry (Bana) with a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel, and the complications it creates for his marriage.

Of working on The Time Travelers Wife, Ferris says, “Working on this movie was great. In one scene, the crew created a beautiful old-fashioned town in winter. We drove in a vintage car with no seat belts, and had retro wardrobes. It’s great getting to play a character so different from yourself. I also loved working away from home. Being in Toronto allows me to focus completely on my job, and not have to juggle things like school and soccer games! Playing a younger version (and working with) Eric Bana was fun too, I thought they did a good job of making me look like he might have looked when he was my age.”

With more than 15 films and 9 television shows under his belt, Ferris has become one of the most watched young actors in the entertainment industry. He has appeared in films such as The Five People You Meet In Heaven opposite Jon Voight, and has landed supporting roles in blockbuster features such as: Rv with Robin Williams, The Invisible for Disney, Runaway Vacation, Memory and Brett Ratner’s sci-fi epic X3. He also has excelled in television, booking recurring roles in series such as the successful Showtime series The L Word as “Wilson,” and Terminal City, with guest star roles on Harper's Island, Stargate Sgi, Smallville, ZIXX: Level III, Masters of Horror II, and Supernatural.

In addition to The Time Travelers Wife, Ferris will also be appearing in 20th Century Fox’s Tooth Fairy alongside Dwayne Johnson, Ashley Judd, and Billy Crystal in 2010.
