Kansas City, MO, June 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Kansas City Royals closing pitcher Joakim Soria has launched his personal website, http://www.joakimsoria48.com. The website, written in both English and Spanish, offers fans a variety of information about baseball and Soria’s charities. Fans also have the opportunity to communicate with the “Mexicutioner” through the website in a variety of ways.
Soria’s website focuses on pitching and conditioning tips, as well as the inside scoop on the Kansas City Royals 2009 season. The website gives fans the option to email Soria with questions, follow him on Twitter or join his Facebook fan page. “I’m excited to get closer to my fans and to promote my charity,” Soria said. Each article on the website can also be shared to link on your favorite social networking sites.
Soria is in the process of developing a charitable foundation to build baseball fields in Mexico in underprivileged neighborhoods. The foundation has yet to be named.
In 2008, Soria became an All Star closing pitcher, ranking second in the American League with 42 saves. He grew up in Monclava, Mexico and made the move from the Mexican League to Major League Baseball in 2004. The Kansas City Royals signed Soria in 2007.
