TAHU Takes on New Leadership During Vital Time in Health Insurance Industry
Texas Association of Health Underwriters Elects Rusty Rice, Louanne Trebing, Joanna Antongiovanni and Travis Middleton.
Austin, TX, July 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Texas Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU), the second largest statewide chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters, has elected new leadership for their 2009 to 2010 calendar year. TAHU members Rusty Rice, Louanne Trebing, Joanna Antongiovanni and Travis Middleton have been named president, president-elect, first vice president and secretary for the statewide Texas chapter board. Other members of the executive committee include Ron Buffum, immediate past president, Misty Baker, second vice president, Kelly Fristoe, treasurer and Laura Firestone, executive director.
“Both Texas and TAHU will benefit from the superb leadership of Rusty Rice and the new members of his executive leadership board,” said TAHU past president Ron Buffum, “I know that Rusty’s past experiences and expertise will help guide him in continuing to be a strong consumer advocate.”
Upcoming initiatives for the new leadership and executive committee include promoting the benefits of having an experienced insurance agent, extending education resources for insurance customers and continuing to promote consumer advocacy in all aspects of the health insurance industry.
“I am humbled to be elected as TAHU’s president,” said TAHU president Rusty Rice, “The upcoming year may be a challenging one, but I am proud and confident in the talents of the executive committee and members of the organization from all across the state of Texas. We will continue to educate our members, be involved in legislative processes and promote our new motto, ‘protect your future’.”
