A poll conducted last week by Ivy Exec’s Business Development Department shows that 56% of MBA holders are seeing an improvement in job market conditions. In addition, 80% think that companies are still hiring, but the available positions are coveted ones, and that the level of competition has increased.

73% of the market still sees financial services as an appealing sector while the remaining 27% are considering a transition into a different industry. One of the most remarkable findings indicates that 67% of MBAs do not expect to take a pay cut in their next job.

Ivy Exec has seen a solid increase in membership over the past two months, and preliminary research shows that the number of passive job seekers has ballooned - 82% of their members are currently employed.

“I think that the trend is clear: top tier talent is taking a more proactive approach to the job market. They want to keep an eye on their industry, even when they are happy at their current job. The rounds of layoffs are nowhere close to being over, and our members are looking for the upper hand. We give them that edge by providing quality information”, said Silvana Carpanelli-Hayes, VP of Marketing.

Ivy Exec continues to gather information on their segment in an effort to best serve their members. More information is available by contacting the Business Development Team.
