Jackson, Rolfes, Spurgeon & Co. Expands Services to Clients and Offers Enhanced Career Opportunities with Plante & Moran Merger
One of Cincinnati’s largest public accounting firms announces its merger with Plante & Moran, the 12th largest accounting and management consulting firm in the US.
Cincinnati, OH, July 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Jackson, Rolfes, Spurgeon & Co. (JRS), one of Cincinnati’s largest public accounting firms, announces its merger with Plante & Moran, PLLC, the 12th largest public accounting and management consulting firm in the country. The merger will take effect July 1, 2009. This merger brings benefits to the Cincinnati clients of both firms and provides added opportunities for the JRS staff.
JRS and Plante & Moran have worked together on a project basis over the last several years and found the synergies of the two firms provided a compelling benefit for its clients. Jim Rolfes, Managing Partner of JRS, says, “We’ve built a strong relationship with the firm over the years and they share many of the same basic principles that we believe in. Our firms have similar core values, commitment to quality service, integrity and professionalism. This is a great opportunity for two firms to come together, keep the same leadership, and offer added value to clients while accelerating the growth of our Cincinnati practice with the knowledge and capabilities of our combined firms.”
JRS clients will now have access to a larger knowledge base, more advisors with in-depth industry specialization, and services in new practice areas. The merger brings JRS the strengths and resources of the nation’s 12th largest public accounting and business advisory firm. The merger provides Plante & Moran a local base to grow and continue to serve clients in a number of industry specializations.
Rolfes emphasizes, “Our commitment and involvement in Cincinnati will not change. The firm will continue its long history of service to the Cincinnati community. Clients will continue to be served by the same client service professionals and should experience a seamless and transparent integration aside from the name change.”
Plante & Moran’s incoming Managing Partner, Gordon Krater, says Plante & Moran has been active in the Cincinnati market for a number of years and currently serves approximately 100 clients in the area. “JRS is an outstanding match for us in many ways. First and foremost, the merger will enable the firm to strengthen its presence in Cincinnati and build on Plante & Moran’s 85 years of growth in the Midwest. In addition, JRS has a client service philosophy very similar to Plante & Moran’s and a complementary industry focus.” Plante & Moran currently has offices in Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo and throughout Illinois and Michigan.
Rolfes adds, “Our staff members are excited about the enhanced opportunities to develop professionally through interaction with a larger pool of high quality professionals.” Plante & Moran is well known for the outstanding culture and principles that have placed it on FORTUNE magazine’s list of the “100 Best Places to Work in America” for the past 11 years.
