Event Synopsis:
With the markets recovering from the recent economic tsunami, IFRS once again moves to front and center on the radar scope of many companies. The actual adoption will likely be an incredibly complex multi-phased, multi-team effort involving the coordination of compliance officers, accounting & finance, legal, information technology, investor relations and business development teams. The Knowledge Group has assembled a team of key thought leaders and experts to help make sense of the most important issues.
This live webcast will feature an end-to-end discussion on convergence. The panel will reevaluate the Roadmap in light of the changing economic landscape. They will discuss enforcement issues and how to consistently interpret principles and how to cope with the lack of detailed guidance. This will also offer pragmatic solutions to the most critical issues and lead a detailed discussion on what’s in the pipeline regarding major standards at the FASB and the IASB. This live webcast will feature a bonus discussion about how the closest neighbor and largest trading partner Canada has addressed the issues that their US counterparts are only beginning to grapple with. The panel of key thought leaders will address convergence form a number of perspectives: accounting, regulatory, policy, technical, & corporate and will feature, among others, a panel from the Senior Director of Technical Accounting and Reporting from one of the world’s largest corporations.
Join this webcast to have a solid working knowledge of the most critical issues with respect to convergence and its impact on your firm. Advanced registration is suggested as space is limited.
