Tyrian for iPhone OS Has Been Released
Mobila Interactive is announcing Tyrian for iPhone. This is an iPhone adaptation of a popular award-winning classic arcade-style vertical scrolling PC shooter. It features over 50 levels in Story and Arcade modes, weapons upgrade system, and more.
Rochester Hills, MI, July 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Mobila Interactive is pleased to announce release of its Tyrian port of iPhone OS.
This release is an iPhone OS port of Tyrian, an arcade-style vertical scrolling shooter which was originally developed by Eclipse Productions and published by Epic MegaGames on the PC platform in 1995. The story line is set in 20,031 where the player is thrown in to the shoes of Trent Hawkins, a skilled terraformation pilot whose mission is to find habitable areas on newly terraformed planets. On his latest assignment to planet Tyrian, he learns about existence of a rare mineral called Gravitium which only exists on Tryian. Gravitium's unique ability to control the force of gravity is the reason why Microsol, an evil giant corporation that terraformed Tyrian, is seeking to have absolute control over it. Microsol is planning to use Gravitium to power its warships, which would make them virtually unstoppable. Microsol will stop at nothing to gain full control over Gravitium, including eliminating anyone who knows about it -- and Trent is the next on the list. Trent's only hope is to escape to the free world of Savara. Managing to acquire a small fighter plane, Trent departs on his journey...
The game features:
* Full Story & Arcade modes
* Four Full Episodes: "Escape", "Treachery", "Mission: Suicide", and "An End to Fate"
* A total of over 50 levels guaranteeing hours of game play
* Seven difficulty levels
* Sophisticated weapon upgrade system with hundreds of combinations to chose from
