Sony Professional Holds XDCAM Workshop at Talamas Broadcast
Representatives from Sony Professional in conjunction with Talamas Broadcast conducted a workshop on Sony’s PDW700 XDCAM at Talamas Broadcast’s Newton, MA location.
Newton, MA, July 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Talamas Broadcast recently hosted Sony Professional at a workshop at Talamas Broadcast’s Newton office. Sony camera specialist Steve Flynn and account manager Steve Dirksmeier were on hand to discuss the Sony PDW700 XDCAM and XDCAM workflow with attendees.
Steve Flynn started by demonstrating some of the XDCAM’s more innovative features such as color correct, freeze mix, which superimposes a previously recorded image on the viewfinder for re-shooting scenes from the same angle, and picture cache recording, which provides up to a 30 recording window to cover short breaks in recording such as during disc replacement. He also discussed the benefits of the XDCAM disc recording format relative to other forms of media and then entertained a number of questions about XDCAM workflow, the disc recording format and additional features.
The Sony event was part of a series of quarterly workshops that Talamas Broadcast began hosting last year in conjunction with manufacturers. The series was developed by Talamas Broadcast Sales Manager Diane Talamas, who was seeking a way to keep audio and video professionals informed of upgrades, new products and the like.
Talamas hosts its next open house on Thursday, July 16th from 12-4. Specialists from Sachtler and Autoscript will be available to discuss innovations in tripods and teleprompting.
