Monthly B2B Coffees Unite World Golf Village Businesses

Last year, Davidson Realty began hosting monthly business-to-business coffees for companies in the World Golf Village area. This free networking event has become an extremely effective marketing tool for participating businesses.

St. Augustine, FL, July 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Businesses in the World Golf Village area will be successful if Davidson Realty has anything to do with it. In February 2008, the company began hosting monthly Business-to-Business Coffees open to all area business owners. The events serve as a networking vehicle to help business make new contacts and promote their services.

Held on the third Friday of each month from 7:30-9 a.m. at Davidson Realty’s headquarters at 100 E. Town Place, Suite 100 at the entrance of World Golf Village, the monthly meeting features free coffee and continental breakfast. According to Karen Palmer, vice president of residential sales for Davidson Realty, approximately 40-50 people usually attend the coffee.

Forty-four participants representing 34 companies attended the June 19 event. “We’ve been attending Davidson Realty’s Business-to-Business Coffees since its inception. To date, it’s become one of our most powerful marketing tools, having generated more than $10,000 in revenue over the last year and it is quickly becoming one of our top referral sources,” said David Sorge, president/chief inspector with Inspect-It 1st, a property inspection company which serves Mandarin, St. Johns County, Fleming Island, Eagle Harbor and Green Cove Springs.

“More than anything else, real estate is a business of relationships and trust – two things that are difficult to attain in the business world, but the Davidson team made those elusive prizes attainable by reaching out to the local business community,” said Sorge. “As we reflect on this past year, we’ve achieved a level of success that defies all logic and are very proud to be a Davidson Realty local business partner.”

According to Palmer, who spearheaded the coffees, the events have drawn a variety of business owners and representatives offering a wide range of services including dentists, attorneys, decorators, restaurants, financial advisors, insurance agents, mortgage companies, funeral home counselors, media representatives and travel agents.

Lou Jones, vice president of FirstAtlantic Bank in St. Augustine, reports that either he or one of his staff members have attended at least five of the events. “These B2B meetings are an invaluable asset to the community and its business owners because it allows you to create relationships and market your services or products in a very intimate and friendly environment,” said Jones. “Although you might not get a sell or referral at every meeting, the exposure you get is intangible.”

Jones says that the bank has received closed business from the meetings by creating relationships that otherwise would not have been established. “A huge thank you goes out to everyone at Davidson Realty, especially Karen Palmer and the Davidsons for opening their offices to the community and initiating the B2B. If you are a small business in World Golf Village and the surrounding areas, you should be there,” he added.

Kathleen Barnard, a real estate trainer, has also attended almost all of the coffees. “The meetings have been most helpful in my avocation to help our foster children. Davidson has been most generous about allowing me to talk about the Guardian Ad Litem program and folks have used the Davidson office as a drop-off for donations,” said Barnard. “I also teach Irish dancing, but so far no dancers. I enjoy the meetings and have made some great social contacts. Business will follow.”

The next agent-to-agent coffee is scheduled for Friday, July 17 at 7:30 a.m. at Davidson Realty. For more information, contact Davidson Realty at (904) 940-5000 or visit www.davidsonrealtyinc.com.
