New Offices, New Staff, New Clients - Future Looks Bright for Web Company
Armitage Online Solutions, run by 30-year-old entrepreneur Andrew Armitage, has not only moved to new offices near Kendal but has hired its first employee – a major step for the business.
Kendal, United Kingdom, July 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The future looks bright for a thriving web company that is carving out a strong niche in the Lakes and beyond.
Armitage Online Solutions, run by 30-year-old entrepreneur Andrew Armitage, has not only moved to new offices in Natland village but has hired its first employee – a major step for the business, which counts English Lakes Ice Cream, Zeffirellis and The Netherwood Hotel among its clients.
Andrew secured £3000 from the Kendal Employment Development Fund to help cover the cost of recruiting his first member of staff, 25-year-old web developer David Sparks. The grant fund, managed by SLDC, was established to help create new jobs in the LA9 postcode area.
Together, the grant and the move to Natland mark a real turning point for Andrew’s business, which he set up from home in Allithwaite just three years ago. The new premises at Helm Bank House – also home to South Lakeland Parks and Briery Homes – have given him the space he needs to expand his business and to work even more closely with clients. They can now come and watch and share ideas as their websites take shape before their eyes.
Andrew says: “Having the space and facilities for our clients to come and see us will be a huge advantage to how we work. We like to involve clients as much as possible during the development of their website. Now clients can visit us and we can actually work on their site in front of them, with all the resources we need to hand. This can save hours of time potentially lost through emails being sent back and forth.”
David, Andrew’s first member of staff, has returned to the Kendal area from Warrington, where he worked with major clients such as ASICS, GlaxoSmithKline and Lancashire Cricket Club at a large, new media agency. David brings with him a range of technical skills and agency experience that can only enhance the business as it looks towards future growth.
Armitage Online Solutions has already carved out a strong niche in Cumbria and beyond, offering creative web design, hosting and online marketing to all sectors of business, particularly the hospitality trades. Andrew now has his sights firmly set on continued expansion, both locally and nationally, through new clients and new ventures with local businesses.
