Sonitrol Pacific Catches Suspects Using School’s Master Key
Marysville, WA, July 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Despite two suspected burglars using a master key to get inside a Washington school, Sonitrol Pacific security detected criminal activity and sent police to arrest them June 20.
Sonitrol Pacific Operator Denise Smith was monitoring the school’s security system when the alarm activated. She called the school district’s guard service and provided the guard with details about the type of alarm she received and it’s location within the school. This allowed him to go directly to the area of concern in time to see one suspect desperately trying to escape through a window.
The guard detained the suspect and Smith called police. The suspect was carrying a master key for the school.
Police responded to the call, pursued, and apprehended a second individual. Both suspected burglars were taken away by police.
