Saturn of Raleigh and Saturn of Cary to Participate in $4,500 "Cash for Clunkers" Program
Raleigh, NC, July 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Saturn of Raleigh (www.saturnofraleigh.com) and Saturn of Cary (www.saturnofcary.com) are participating in the Customer Assistance to Recycle and Save program, a new program from the federal government that will help consumers pay for a new, more fuel efficient cars or trucks from a participating dealer when they trade in a less fuel efficient vehicle. More commonly called “Cash for Clunkers,” the program will provide U.S. Government vouchers valued from $3,500 to $4,500 when consumers trade in eligible vehicles and purchase new ones before Nov. 1, 2009 that meet or exceed specified fuel economy improvement standards.
The government has defined a clunker as a drivable car made within the last 25 years, with a fuel economy rating of no more than 18 miles per gallon. The vehicles that consumers trade in are required to be destroyed. For more information about the “Cash for Clunkers” program, visit www.cars.gov.
