New York, NY, July 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Host Mickey Burns interviews iconic television host and producer, Chuck Barris on "NYC TV PROFILES." Barris is the creator and producer of several successful shows, such as "The Dating Game," "The Newlywed Game," and "The Gong Show."
In the late 60’s and early 70’s, Barris produced an incredible 27 half-hours of groundbreaking television each week. In 1976, Barris stepped in front of the camera as the host of "The Gong Show", an improvised talent contest exclusively for the "talent-impaired." It lasted two years, and four more in syndication, before an exhausted Barris pulled the plug.
He is also the author of several books, including "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind", his "unauthorized autobiography", in which he reveals his secret life as a CIA hit man. The book was made into a movie starring Julia Roberts, Drew Barrymore, and George Clooney, who also directed the film. He is also the author of "The Big Question" and his current release, "Who Killed Art Deco?". All of his books have received critical acclaim.
This episode of "NYC TV PROFILES" will air City-wide on NYC TV, Channel 74 on Tuesday, July 14th at 7:30 PM.
