Local Musician to Perform in Washington DC
Kalamazoo, MI, July 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Kalamazoo area musician Don Mathews will be performing several of his tribute songs and other original music on July 17th and 19th in Washington DC as part of the ‘We the People Fest’. The event is focused on Judicial Reform primarily the importance of keeping both parents actively involved in each child’s life and to help stop child and family abuse. They are keeping God first in this event.
Don’s performances on July 17th will be in Upper Senate Park. He was very honored to be asked to sing his Inauguration Tribute song ‘May God Bless the USA Today’ as part of his performance on the West Capitol Grounds on July 19th.
Don has been involved in Emergency Medical Service for over 40 years. Don blends two of his favorite activities, EMS and music into several of his songs. Don started showing an interest in music at a very young age. He wrote his first song while he was still in high school. Don's song 'Tribute to EMS' has been recognized internationally. During his musical journey he has become a Nashville songwriter. This trip to Washington DC is another interesting step on his journey.
