Follansbee, WV, July 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Follansbee is now partnering with S-5!, producers of zero-penetration clamping for metal roofs, to provide customers with the ability to easily specify solar clamping and snow retention products.

ColorGard, SnoRail and SnoFence help reduce the risk of rooftop avalanches. The sudden release of snow from a rooftop can be dangerous, and snow retention products help solve this problem by controlling the movement of snow along the roof.
ColorGard is the only snow guard system designed and engineered on a site-specific basis. In addition to S-5! snow guards, Follansbee will also offer S-5! clamps. S-5! clamps attach to panel seams by tightening two “bullet-nosed” stainless steel setscrews against the seam material. The round point setscrews compress the seam material against the opposite wall of the clamp. This method creates a “dimple” in the seam material without actually penetrating it. Combined with the S-5-PV Kit, these clamps can also be used to attach photovoltaic arrays to roofs.
