DEOL Partners and Maculan Holding, Kiev Airport City project developers, took part in Austrian-Ukrainian business forum, dedicated to the working visit to Ukraine of the Federal President of the Republic of Austria Heinz Fischer on July, 7, 2009, Kiev.
Kyiv, Ukraine, July 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Alexander Maculan, chairman of the board of directors of Maculan Holding, and Ruslan Oleksenko, DEOL Partners Managing Partner, took part in the business forum, held a joint meeting with Heinz Fischer, President of the Republic of Austria, discussed Ukraine’s investment climate, trends in the commercial real estate market, the implementation of shared Austrian and Ukrainian projects.
“I think it is a right time to invest actively into Ukraine. Therefore I suggested Heinz Fischer arriving in Ukraine precisely now as it testifies to Austria’s interest in being Ukraine’s key partner even under tough crisis conditions”, A. Maculan, chairman of the board of director of Maculan Holding, Kiev Airport City project partner, said.
The main goal of the business forum, i.e. enhancement of bilateral Austrian and Ukrainian economic cooperation, was reached in full, driven by a proper format of the event, a broad range of the points on the agenda and a large number of participants – 200 representatives of Austrian and Ukrainian governmental and business circles. The Austrian delegation was represented by the companies which work in such industries as development and construction, pharmaceutics, publishing, consulting, marketing and PR, foreign trade, logistic, etc.
“Austrian investors have always attached special interest to Ukraine’s commercial real estate market and today we hope the Austrian partners’ participation in development process will give the projects with a carefully thought-out concept a chance to be accomplished and absorbed by the market despite the crisis phenomena in Ukraine’s commercial real estate market”, R. Oleksenko, DEOL Partners Managing Partner, pointed out.
“The Austrian businessmen showed their willingness to invest into Ukraine and take advantage of favorable preconditions for entering the Ukrainian market, which emerge today”, A. Maculan noted, and added thereafter: “Nowadays the most promising development is about niche projects with a hotel component. At the moment we are working on Kіev Airport City together with DEOL Partners. This project envisions construction of 5 and 4-star hotels run by an international hotel chain operator”.
At the Austrian-Ukrainian business-forum the speeches were made by Heinz Fischer, Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Reinhold Mitterlehner, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Austria, Christoph Leitl, president of the Chamber of Economy of the Republic of Austria, as well as by the Ukrainian officials, namely Victor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, Bohdan Danylyschin, Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Serhij Skryptschenko, president of the Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Ukraine.
