American Disability Services Locates Financial Resources for Their Customers Despite Economic Recession

ADS will be using Harmonie Network to help market and promote their services to customers nationwide.

Macomb Township, MI, July 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- American Disability Services (ADS) is the industry leader in locating financial resources for U.S. citizens in need of medical equipment, supplies and home modifications with guaranteed results. ADS will be using Harmonie Network to help market and promote their services to customers nationwide.

In November 2007, Mike Ullrich founded American Disability Services (ADS) after witnessing friends and relatives with declining health struggle to find someone to make quality modifications to their home. Through his research, he found that in many cases, insurance companies did not cover the cost for home modifications and medical professionals did not refer a contractors due to legal and liability concerns, as many contractors did not adhere to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and local barrier-free codes.

Mike Ullrich said, “Most of my customers would contact my company when they have been previously turned down by everyone and did not know where to turn. We helped these customers and it’s a great feeling when you know you’re doing the right thing!”

Initially, ADS was designed to help seniors and disabled individuals locate certified contractors in barrier-free or aging-in-place remodeling using Certified Aging in Place Specialists (C.A.P.S) or Certified Environmental Access Consultants (C.E.A.C.).

However, it was quickly realized that finding a contractor was only part of their solution. Paying for modifications along with medical equipment and supplies not covered by insurance was also important. With limited or lack of insurance coverage many individuals were concerned with preserving their financial assets from spend down rules and the loss of income following disability or injury. ADS, with the assistance of Harmonie Network, is going to change the way customers look and feel about the medical equipment and supplies field. ADS’s profile on Harmonie Network’s website will display all of the information needed for each client to contact ADS and get exactly what they are looking for.

Because of this, ADS was founded and now has over 40,000 financial resources available, ranging from federal, state and county and community governments, to private philanthropy, non-profit organizations and fundraisers to help individuals with their medical equipment, supplies and home modifications needs.

Today, ADS is able to help over 95% of its customers find these types of financial resources, and ultimately, maintain their independence and quality of life.
