Join the Orange Blossom Beekeepers Association in Celebrating National Honeybee Awareness Day

First ever national event celebrating honeybees.

Orlando, FL, July 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday August 22, 2009, the Orange Blossom Beekeepers Association located in Orlando, Florida will hold an all day event celebrating the first annual National Honeybee Awareness Day.

Beekeepers from all over Central Florida will gather at the Orange County Extension Offices, located at 6021 S. Conway Ave., Orlando, FL , to greet the public, hold workshops, answer questions and sell honey and other products of the hive. There will be unusual and exotic varieties of honey, as well as locally produced. Beekeepers will be able to discuss the health aspects of eating honey and a professional apitherapist, who stings people with bees o help those suffering from certain ailments.

Beeswax candles, baked goods made with honey instead of sugar, pollen, and creamed honey will aslo be offered for sale. You can even purchase a T-shirt to show your support of this local beekeeping organization.

The Orange Blossom Beekeepers Association is an organization made up of beekeepers both professional and hobbyist, people who want to become beekeepers and people who just care about bees. "Buzz" on over for a "sweet" day filled with fun, information and great goodies.
