Actors can now learn to audition via online video courses.

Hollywood, CA, July 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Announcing the launch of www.auditionsla.com an educational website offering actors from beginners to professionals, specific instruction in the art of auditioning for television and film. The site offers a lecture series, based on footage gathered in ongoing live studio classes, and instructors/actors Joel Brooks and Beth Maitland bring humor and decades of experience to the video lectures as well as their associated website content information. The site contains free articles, blogs, tips and tricks videos, interview videos and an informative newsletter, as well as access to the streaming video of the 10 week lecture series and master classes all covering specific areas of preparing an audition. The focus of the videos ranges from auditioning for sitcoms, hour long dramas, and film to soap opera auditions, and features basics from preparing sides (audition material) to expanding character analysis choices to make each performance unique and memorable. They include exercises to add creativity to the scope of character analysis choices, basic acting decisions in preparing the audition homework, and even what to wear and when to arrive at the appointment. In addition, there is an expanded catalogue of educational materials being produced and uploaded regularly.

There are many places on the web to find information on acting techniques, but nowhere to learn the special skill set required to audition well. AuditionsLA brings actors excellent instruction in the convenience of their own homes on their computers, and eliminates the need to be in an entertainment industry hub like New York, Chicago or Los Angeles to get professional and current industry coaching.

www.auditionsla.com enters the web market with excellent information from talented and informed instructors.
