KM&T Launches Healthcare Division
One of the UK’s leading business improvement experts has established a healthcare division.
Coventry, United Kingdom, July 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- KM&T is a leader in the application of “Lean Thinking” – a business improvement methodology developed by car giant Toyota in the 1950s.
Lean tools are proven to improve efficiency, safety and financial performance for a wide range of industrial and service sectors around the world.
KM&T has worked increasingly with NHS trusts over the last two years prompting the decision to set up the new arm.
It has just appointed Steve Casey as Director of Healthcare and part of his role is to lead the expansion programme.
Casey (39) has joined the Coventry company after a career with Toyota, PricewaterhouseCoopers and more recently Unipart.
He said: “We have completed over 50 projects across the UK from whole hospital organisation transformation down to smaller improvement projects in areas such as accident and emergency.
“Our advice and the adoption of our methods have brought identifiable benefits not only for patients but has also led to improved staff morale.
“Healthcare is constantly evolving and facing increasing pressures to deliver better patient care for less money.
“The need to therefore identify opportunities to improve the patients experience cost effectively is something high on the agenda of every healthcare organisation.
“We are confident of the real value we can offer to the healthcare sector and we are building our new division to reflect the support that we can provide these organisations.”
KM&T was established by Steve Boam – a world renowned expert on Lean Thinking – Adrian Jones, Gareth Harris and Darren Jones.
