Michigan Chapter of International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners Introduces New Leadership to Executive Board

Press release provides names and titles of Michigan technology industry leaders who seek to foster growth through advocacy, community, education and networking through the local chapter of the IAMCP organization.

Detroit, MI, July 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The local Michigan chapter of the fast-growing International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners (IAMCP) announced today the appointment of new leadership to its executive board. The board includes several new members and will be led by Scott Pettit from New Horizons Computer Learning Centers.

The new executive board comprises technology executives from companies across Michigan and will begin work on revised chapter programming designed for the new economy immediately.

“We have fresh leadership and are excited to be growing a community of Microsoft Certified Partners operating in Michigan and fostering their success through our chapter’s commitment to advocacy, community, education and networking,” said Pettit, who will serve as chapter president for the year. “We also wish to express our gratitude to the previous board leadership for their trailblazing; the challenges and opportunities of the new economy, particularly in Michigan, make the benefits of membership and participation with an active IAMCP chapter a valuable resource to its members.”

Members of the new executive board of the Michigan Chapter of the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners are: Scott Pettit, partner manager and marketing manager at New Horizons of Michigan, Chicago, and Cleveland (Livonia, Mich.), who will serve as board president; Jason Beaudette, Microsoft Michigan practice lead at Analysts International (Lansing, Mich.) will serve as board vice president; James Meyer, director of business development at Maner Costerisan (Lansing, Mich.) will serve as board secretary; Pat Schumaker, president of Schumaker & Company (Ann Arbor, Mich.) will serve as board treasurer; Kevin Sangsland, account director at Airfoil Public Relations (Southfield, Mich.) will serve as board communications director. Board officers-at-large are: Matthew Mace, president and chief executive officer of BlueGranite, Inc. (Kalamazoo, Mich.) and Kathy Labozzetta, principal at i3 Business Solutions (Grand Rapids, Mich.).
